If you open this note to read it, then yes, it is your name that goes in the title. If you continue to read it, don't blame me when you wind up in a place you may not be ready to be. You can run, but you can't hide.
I posted a little status message a few days ago about my electric blanket calling my name: "Treeeeeava! Treeeeeava! Treeeeeeava!" Sure was warm and cozy. But it's 9am. I'm not going to bed right now. Electric blanket's not even turned on.
That's not a blanket I hear.
One day, a young boy lay down to sleep. Who knows what was on his mind as he lay there? Perhaps he was thinking of the plans he and a friend had made for building a sand castle the next day. I do that sometimes - build sand castles (or dream castles) to drift off to sleep. Nevertheless, he'd become still for the moment. In that moment of stillness, he heard his name being called.
Get still.
The voice that he heard was so clear that he was sure it must have been a man's voice. He inquired of his teacher who lay in the next room: "You called?" This happened repeatedly. Finally, he was told to simply answer "Yes, Lord? Here I am."
I opened up this page to create a new note without an idea about what I would write. I just knew that I was in a position at this moment of stillness to write something pertinent. "Yes, Lord? Here I am."
Well, here I am. And if you're reading this, here you are. I hope you brought your ears... and a very large goodie bag.
No matter outside circumstances, no matter how big or how small our dream castles seem to be, no matter where we are or who we are, until we are willing to lay aside our personal ideas and opinions, we cannot grasp the higher revelation of a kingdom castle that is very real and prepared for us to dwell in, in THE PRESENT. And the key to entering into that kingdom castle is quite simple:
"Yes, Lord? Here I am."
You see, the kingdom of heaven is not reached by our CAREFUL OBSERVATION. It is WITHIN us. So go ahead. Build sand castles. Build dream castles. But be prepared, if you are truly opened to being given dreams and visions, healing for your inner self, nuggets of wisdom, and a closer relationship with God, then "Yes, Lord? Here I am." is sure to take you there. Answer sincerely and you'll be walking through the doors of the kingdom castle, right on through the doors of the outer court, into the doors of the inner court, and right on through to the throne room. Whatever ideas and opinions you brought in with you are likely to fly out the window. They'll blow away like a sand castle. But who needs sand castles and dream castles when you've discovered the wealth and riches of the kingdom castle?
They are simple words: "Yes, Lord? Here I am." But those simple words open profound doors. Say those words. And then bring back a treasure with you to share.
Nothing that you find here is meant for you to keep all to/for yourself. And if you aren't experiencing real kingdom-castle moments of living, consider "Yes, Lord? Here I am." What, exactly, are you "here" for? And what good will it do you to be here if you aren't willing to open up those doors and allow the rest of the world a view into what you've found and access to it themselves? Remember, to whom much is given, much is required. If it is given to you, you are required to dish it out.
I suppose I've answered the question of whether I'm willing to dish it out myself, for myself. After all, here I am. And here you are too. Welcome! And you are welcome to join me and carry out and share all the nuggets you find here. They're not mine anyway. Freely give, for freely you've received. Silver and gold have I none, but....
Yes, Lord. Here I am. And here You are, I Am that I Am. And here you are, [insert your name here].
